Oral Surgeons
David Smeltzer (Columbus, Ohio 614-457-9337) – dental implants, wisdom teeth, etc. Very talented! Good listener! Dr. Smeltzer came by referral from an OSU Dental School faculty member who asked around the Dental School for the best oral surgeons in Columbus. We’ve heard of a case where Dr. Smeltzer successfully did 2 surgeries at the same time: (1) an extraction for an implant; and (2) a “Sinus Lift” through the socket of the extracted tooth (thereby saving the patient from needing a 2nd surgery). It requires a very experienced oral surgeon to do that well & he did great! Upon seeing the results – the patient’s dentist said that the pin that Smeltzer implanted to support the artificial tooth was the best-aligned pin he’d ever seen.
